The network is giving an early vote of confidence to “Chuck,” picking up the back nine episodes of the sophomore series. The Adam Baldwin spy/comedy returns to the air on September 29th in the US.

Castle is a witty drama based on a famous mystery novelist who helps the NYPD homicide department solve crimes.Nick Castle [Nathan Fillion] had grown weary of having it all, “fame, fans and females”, until he was approached by the attractive Detective Kate Beckett [Stana Katic] of the NYPD to help catch the copy-cat killer staging murders based on scenes from his novels.Castle’s approach to solving the crimes conflicts with Beckett’s conservative approach leading to much tension and a hint of romance.Keeping Castle grounded are his mother [Susan Sullivan], teenage daughter Alexis [Molly C. Quinn], poker playing friends James Patterson, Sue Grafton, and Stephen King and his ex wife Gina [Monet Mazur] who is also his editor.Ruben Santiago-Hudson will play the Police Chief.Castle is directed by Rob Bowman whose credits include Day Break, Night Stalker andX-Files and is produced by Andrew Marlowe, Armyan Bernstein, Laurie Zaks and Rob Bowman.

While unintentional jamming continues to rise, intentional jamming by both foreign military forces and at-home miscreants of various stripes also has shown increased vigor in the past six months. Related here are recent instances of intentional jamming on each side of the border, and (briefly outlined) one initiative mounted by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) to counteract it. Also here ways to detect and prevent jamming.”

BOSTON – This could make for one odd family reunion: Barack Obama is a distant cousin of Brad Pitt, and Hillary Rodham Clinton is related to Pitt’s girlfriend, Angelina Jolie.

Researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society found some remarkable family connections for the three presidential candidates — Democratic rivals Obama and Clinton, and Republican John McCain.

Clinton, who is of French-Canadian descent on her mother’s side, is also a distant cousin of singers Madonna, Celine Dion and Alanis Morissette. Obama, the son of a white woman from Kansas and a black man from Kenya, can call six U.S. presidents, including George W. Bush, his cousins. McCain is a sixth cousin of first lady Laura Bush.

Let’s say I win the lottery. Not just a little jackpot, but a really big one. If that happens, this is the home theater I might want to put in my mansion. Serenity Day 2008 – August 17th

The official mission of Serenity Day 2008 (SD08) is to promote massive sales of the Serenity Collector’s Edition DVD (BDCE), to donate those BDCEs (and any related items) to appropriate organizations, to promote charities related to our ‘Verse, to promote a worldwide increase in the Browncoat ranks, and to prove that there is sufficient interest — and money — to justify a sequel to Serenity, and the continuation of our ‘Verse.

We do not holds the above goals as mutually exclusive. We see sharing our ‘Verse as spreading a message of hope, of strength, of love, of inspiration, of respect, and of overcoming adversity against all odds.

The official date of Serenity Day 2008 is Sunday, August 17, 2008. This is the eve of the one-year anniversary of the release of the BDCE. Our ultimate goal is to do nothing short of wiping all shelves clean of this product, just in time to push initial year-over-year sales figures for the BDCE off the charts, through the stratosphere, and into the Black.
